Pedro Garlito - HeadPartners

Pedro Garlito

Pedro Garlito, 43, has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico of Portugal. From an early age, Pedro aspired to pursue an international career that would allow him to incorporate the best organizational and management practices in complex and multicultural work environments.

His international career began already during university, through an exchange program with the Technical University of Copenhagen (DTU), where he developed a project and defended a thesis on alternative fuels, which served as basis for a technical paper in the prestigious SAE publication.

His professional career began in 2000 in Germany, as a product development engineer for the automotive multinational Continental AG. The strong competitiveness, efficiency, and quality standards of the automotive industry, in one of its most renown companies, allowed him to develop advanced management, organization and leadership skills, having, over 8 years, had the possibility to manage diverse teams, established partnerships and businesses with truly global scope and with some of the most prestigious brands in the automotive sector. His job was completed in 2008 and Pedro reached, at the age of 28, the Group’s Senior Management Team.

In 2009, Pedro returned to Portugal, completing a couple of executive functions in business services, both in multinational companies and privately owned. At this stage, and drawn on the international success achieved, Pedro aims to put his focus and knowledge at the service of inland companies.

Its main objective is to support organizations and people to become the best version of themselves, so that they can achieve their goals in a sustainable way.

This vision led him to accept the challenge of becoming a Consultant, undertaking, since 2014, the role of Partner at HeadPartners, responsible for the international business and the Business Advisory service line. In Consulting, Pedro's work allows him to directly share his experiences and professional practices, having developed a vocation for senior management advice, participating in non-executive councils, and for coaching and mentoring of executive talents.

Continuous learning is an indispensable part of all professional stages, and Pedro has bolstered his knowledge with specific Executives Programs at some of the leading international schools, in areas like leadership, coaching, advisory and supervision.
